Variety

These are first year grafted apples. Apples are a fantastic addition to any food forest or orchard. Apples were a common tree for homesteads and farms throughout the northeast, and there is a lot of varietal diversity in the Catskills. Heirloom apples bring a much wider range of flavor, texture, and season than what you can get in the grocery store, which prioritizes storability above all else. We have selected a wide range of varieties from our friend's local orchard and from Walden Heights nursery in New York.

We use standard and semi-standard rootstock due to their hardiness in the Catskills region. Orders for local pickup will be in pots, orders for shipping will be shipped bare root.
